Library Overview

Library is rich in collection of material, books and e-resources. Library plays a vital role in the teaching and learning process for self-education to deserving and enthusiastic students without any distinction. It stimulates students to obtain, evaluate, and recognize knowledge and familiarizes them with the trends of knowledge for further education and learning new disciplines.

Siddharth College of Library and Information Science was started in the year 2008 with a few books in the library. With the continuous efforts of the management, today the library has a huge collection of books available for students, teachers, and staff to enhance their knowledge.

Library has computerized database systems and uses standard SOUL software for the management of the library.

• Library is open from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.
• Book circulation service from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.
• Every student must carry his/her Library card and I-card.
• Each student is issued one book on the borrower's card.
• Books will not be issued without the Identity Card and Library Card.
• Students must return library books within a week.
• If books are not returned on the due date, Rs. 1/- will be charged per day.
• Reference books and journals will not be issued on the Library card.
• Reference books are available only for consultation in the main library.
• Newspapers and journals are available to read in the reading room only.
